A1, A2   -  A-lines. These are horizontal artefacts, generated by the repetition of the pleural line, while their distance from it is the same as the distance of the skin - pleural line. (A as in "air" – means air in the chest cavity, either in normal lungs, or even with the pathological presence of air in a pneumothorax).
