MD. Rastislav Šimek

He was born in 1978 v in Žilina (Slovak Republic). He completed two semesters of Mathematics and Physics at Comenius University in the Department of Biomedical Physics, then studied medicine at the Medical Faculty of Comenius University in Bratislava. He graduated in 2003.

The same year he joined the Regional Hospital of Tomas Bata in Zlín. He received a post-graduate certificate in Pneumology and Phtiseology in 2010. He lectures at pneumology congresses on the issue of ultrasound of the chest. In 2011 he completed a course in chest sonography - EFSUMB – at the Euroson school in Prague. In 2012, he participated in the ultrasound workshop of the I. Congress of the Czech Society of Pneumology and Phthiseology Hradec Králové as a lecturer. Under the guidance of Professor Daniel Lichtentein, MD, he passed the CEURF course in 2013 (Cercle Des Echographistes ’D'urgence Et De Reanimation Francophones) in Ambroise Paré Hospital, Paris. Currently he works as an intern at the Pulmonary Department of the Regional Hospital of Tomas Bata in Zlín.
